Head Chair- U SEOK LEE

Hello Everybody, I am U Seok, and I will be your Crisis Director for Kismun 2022. This will be my 13th MUN, but my first as a student officer. I am looking forward to this experience.

Delegates, do you know the saying Rome wasn’t built in a day? It means you may not be the best at the start, but one day, you will be an unstoppable empire. So, if you are not the best at MUN, it is fine. As far as I am concerned, all of you know much more than me when I was at my first conference.

Please don’t forget to have fun. In my ten MUN experiences the only thing that lasted was the relationship I have created with my fellow delegates. Don’t be scared of the age gap. If you are scared of how the older delegates will treat you outside of MUN don’t be. You can’t be the best version of yourself when you are scared of how people will see you.

Everyone ceases every opportunity even if you think it will blow up in your face. You can’t be sure unless you try.

Best wishes,

Useok Lee

Head of Security Council of KISMUN2022

Deputy Chair- HA YOUNG KWAG

Welcome everyone participating in KISMUN 2022! I am Hayoung, who will be serving you as the Deputy chair of the Security Council.

Living in a society in which all people should co-exist by respecting, and acknowledging each and everyone’s existence, cooperation has become a crucial matter. Through cooperating, problems are solved and obstacles are overcome. However, the procedure of cooperation isn’t easy because it requires everyone’s courage to approach each other. Although the hesitation to light the candle might take a long time, if you start lighting your own candles and encourage others to do so, the entire room would be full of brightness and warmth.

Candles full of brightness and warmth would enable us to solve one of the greatest issues this year, which is the Russo-Ukrainian War, which the Security Council would be dealing with in KISMUN2022. Looking at the violence and sacrifice, it may seem hard to light up a candle. However, the small courage that each would show will make a huge change and difference. Also, no one would recognize the wonderful changes until you start first to light up your candle.

Delegates, the floor is once again open for you to light up your candle. Everyone, now it is time to seep into harmony in diversity, ignite your passion, go beyond your limits, and finally, “Experience your Excellence”.

Best wishes,

Hayoung Kwag, Deputy chair of the Security Council,
