Highly honoured delegates, student officers and respective guests,
My name is Siyeon Cho and it is both a pleasure and a privilege to welcome you to the 2022 KISMUN as a head chair of DISEC.
Model United Nations empower many students in KIS to showcase their immense talent and engage in dynamic dialogue. These diverse gatherings bring together an incredible group of young leaders, dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and positive global change. Your courage and commitment of participating in MUN to investigate and try to solve the problems of today as a delegate are truly commendable. With committee members, working toward solutions through debate, consensus building, and mutual support, you will probe and work to resolve topics of great importance that threaten the world’s stability.
Delegates, it is very normal to get confused during the conference. Everyone in the conference room (even me!) has been there before, so don’t worry at all! Ask your fellow delegates or us chairs because that’s the reason why we are here. Try to ask and learn many things during MUN; utilise this opportunity to become a better version of you. Just try your best, push yourself out of your comfort zone, and most importantly, enjoy!

Esteemed directors, student officers, administrative staffs, press team, guests and fellow delegates,
I am Noel and it’s a great honor to serve you as the Deputy Chair of DISEC. I have participated in MUN conferences since 7th grade as a delegate and a chair. However, it is my first time to play the role of chair in KISMUN through KISMUN2022, and I am so grateful to see such great delegates. Many delegates are afraid of doing POIs, and presenting their opinions on the podium. I was also a bad speaker like others, and still I am, resulting from poor English skills and the lack of confidence. Even though I have no talent with speaking, I push myself so hard that I’ve improved relatively better than the past. Therefore, everyone can overcome the nervousness that comes while speaking, and improve the skills of speaking.
I hope every delegate feels proud of themselves through experiencing the previously undiscovered excellence when the conference ends as the slogan of KISMUN2022, “Experience your Excellence''. I believe all delegates can go through it, and will passionately participate in the conference, without any apprehension. In addition, I desire as many delegates as possible to be developed through the conference, surpassing the limitation and trying best.
I want to introduce a famous saying to end, “A genius can’t beat a hard worker, but the hard worker is defeated by a person who enjoys what he does.”
